Mapping the Landscape of Opportunity

Communities of color are the majority in California, but persistent inequities limit opportunities. The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network has developed an interactive map into which you can add demographic, social, health and environmental data to see results.

CA Black Health Network Attends Celebration at White House

Darcel Lee, President and CEO of the California Black Health Network, was honored to be part of a group of people who were invited to the White House last month to celebrate Black History Month and the fourth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to the President, and then, First Lady Michelle Obama spoke to attendees and thanked them for tireless efforts in support of the ACA.

The California Black Health Network has long advocated for the benefits of the ACA for the African American community and has created a fact sheet on the subject, available for download HERE.

Summary of Medi-Cal Coverage for Immigrants

Beginning January 1, 2014, all low-income immigrants became eligible for some form of health care coverage in California. The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network has created a useful summary of Medi-Cal Coverage for Immigrant and has posted it for downloading on their website.
